The ON: video series is a collection of exclusive interviews that feature an array of artists who each share their thoughts “on” a specific subject. Get up close and personal as we introduce you to some incredible talents and their take on a variety of topics.

Early this summer, the inaugural TD music café took place in downtown Toronto, outside of the iconic Roy Thomson Hall. This free pop-up concert treated music lovers to a wide range of sounds as artists both established and emerging took to the stage. They also took the time to speak with us following their performances.

Scott Helman is an impressive young singer-songwriter who recently signed to Warner Music Canada. He has already made waves with strong original songs such as “Cry Cry Cry” and “Sweater,” and wowed the TD music café audience with his poise and performance. We highly recommend keeping an eye and ear out for this up-and-comer.

Here, Scott speaks about his Songwriting history, as well as qualities he appreciates in the songs of others, and looks into the future to muse on Image and Success.
