These diverse and innovative programs are designed to offer young people the chance to access and contribute to arts and culture, and are truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for those who participate.

Montreal: Blues Camp presented by TD
The time has come to register for auditions for the 8th edition of the popular Blues Camp presented by TD! All young Québec musicians ages 13 to 17 can register online for an audition to qualify as one of the lucky few chosen to participate in a week of musical magic, free of charge.
The Camp – which is presented as part of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and runs from June 30 to July 6 – will again provide some 50 teens with the unique opportunity to live their musical passion, accompanied by well-known music pros. Registration closes Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 5 p.m. Auditions will follow on Saturday, April 20, starting at 10 a.m., at École Marguerite-De Lajemmerais, in Montreal.
Ottawa: TD Jazz Youth Summit
The TD Jazz Youth Summit is a program run by the Ottawa Jazz Festival that brings together top young musicians from across the nation. Young artists receive a full scholarship for a ten day intensive program focusing on their musical development both as individuals and as a band.
The Summit features master classes by leading Jazz Musicians from all over the world, and full access to one of Canada’s premier jazz Festivals.
This year’s Summit will take place June 20 to July 1. To learn more about the Summit and apply, click here. The application deadline is April 15, 2013.
Vancouver: TD High School Jazz Intensive
The TD High School Jazz Intensive Program is a unique program for High School Music students to be part of a professional big band. Featuring up to 21 students selected through a rigorous application process from over 200 schools across the Lower Mainland, this program offers young and budding artists the opportunity to learn from the best and cultivate their talents and networks.

Saskatchewan: TD Jazz Intensive
The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival believes in supporting young musicians by providing opportunities that will assist youth of all skill levels. With the support of TD the Festival is proud to program the TD Jazz Intensive as an integral part of the Festival.
Under the guidance of distinguished jazz educators, program participants will create and work toward a public performance at The Bassment — the home of jazz in Saskatoon — on Saturday, June 29 as part of the Festival itself.
The program runs Saturday, June 22 to Saturday, June 29 and is restricted to musicians enrolled in high school and university.

The Victoria Jazz Society presents a series of workshops during the TD Victoria International JazzFest. These workshops are hosted by touring musicians for the benefit and development of local Victorians, from mid and high school music students to professional performing artists. Presented at no charge to attendees, all are invited to partake.
This year, the workshops will take place from 4:00 – 5:15pm at the Victoria Conservatory of Music in Wood Hall. Dates and hosts are noted below:

Each year JazzEast takes advantage of the roster of high-caliber artists performing at the TD Halifax Jazz Festival by asking some of them to facilitate JazzLabs. This year's line-up of artist talks, workshops and master classes offers exciting voice, rhythm and improv focused presentations. As well, back by popular demand is the ever popular Theodore Tugboat rhythm workshops for kids!
