We Are One Jazz Project is a Canadian Arts Organization that harnesses the beauty and power of jazz as a force for social change through which to empower young Canadians facing challenging life experiences. Each year, several hundred students explore the joys of the creative process and learn the benefits of hard work, bond building and self-discovery through direct interaction with master musicians.

We Are One Jazz Project | 5 years strong | 20,000 lives touched

The WAOJP builds strong communities by bringing the beauty and power of jazz to hundreds of young children each year.

From October to June in partnership with the Toronto District School Board, our dynamic program matches students with internationally acclaimed musicians in an enriched learning and performance environment. Participants develop life skills including team-work, courage and confidence empowering them to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Each annual project works with students in a different ‘priority’ neighborhood of Toronto. WAOJP instills a lifelong appreciation for the arts, for creative thinking, and for accomplishment in the lives of each participant.

Join us on February 11th, 2015 at the Toronto Centre for the Arts where our 300 voice children’s choir from 8 schools in the Jane/Finch corridor will perform alongside a jazz orchestra, an adult choir and special guest artists.
