The Honey Jam Concert, a highly anticipated annual summer music event, takes place on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Mod Club (722 College St). Nelly Furtado, who
performed at the 1997 concert, now supports the event as one of its sponsors.
Produced by PhemPhat Entertainment Group, a non-profit organization, Honey Jam is the longest running all-female multicultural showcase in Canada. Honey Jam has fostered the development of artists since 1995, resulting in a slew of successful alumni such as Nelly Furtado, Melanie Fiona, Jully Black, Anjulie, Andrea Lewis, Kellylee Evans and Melanie Durrant.
Now in its 20th year, it continuously delivers one of the summer's hottest shows featuring electrifying live performances. Whether pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, jazz, soul, country, classical, or dancehall - talented female vocalists representing all musical genres can take part. The lineup will be chosen from live auditions in Toronto as well as online auditions submitted from artists across Canada and will be announced July 1.
Tickets are available for $20 via ticketweb.ca or Play de
Record (357A Yonge St.) or at the door. This
is a 19+ event.
Doors open at 7:00 pm, show starts promptly at 8:00 pm.
